Question by Sal: IS there a better smartphone than Droid for Verizon?
I have Droid now for a few weeks and still have a few days before I can return it if I didn’t like it. I like it so far and it’s fast and full of features, but I’d like to know if there is a better 3G Internet spartphone than it that I may change to? Speaking of better, what concerns me is: Full Keyboard, touch screen, camera, Wifi, Internet browsing, large screen, multitasking.. The only thing that I saw today and made me ask this question was a comparison between it and iphone as far as touch screen accuracy while drawing? Oh, and I hate iphone because it makes you apple’s slave. Anyways Verizon doesn’t carry iphone.

Verizon will have the Iphone soon, they are working out a deal with AT&T, as of now I think the Droid is the best, but Google’s Nexus One is coming out for T-mobile soon and after that will be available on Verizon as well. And I just read about a new smartphone from Microsoft that will be coming out for T-Mobile and Verizon, but right now the Droid is hands down the best smartphone available

Check out the Palm Pre Plus. It’s pretty sweet plus it multitasks like no other.

The only other Verizon smartphone I can think of that might fit your needs is the Palm Pre – but it has fewer apps since it’s not an Android phone.

I guess there’s also the Motorola Devour, but it’s basically like a slightly lower end version of the Droid, so if you’re not sure Droid is for you, Devour likely won’t be either.

P.S. I have a Droid Eris – I chose it over the Moto Droid because it was a bit smaller and I didn’t think the Moto Droid keyboard was any better than an on-screen keyboard. I’ve had it a couple of months and I’m pretty happy with it. My only complaints are the battery life isn’t great, and it can sometimes get a little laggy. I dealt with the battery issue by getting a higher-capacity battery, and I deal with the laggy issue by using the Taskiller app.
